PFF Signs MoU with Beaconhouse to Boost School Football in Pakistan

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Beaconhouse School System to promote football at the school level across Pakistan. The agreement aims to build structured pathways for young football players.

The signing ceremony took place at Football House in Lahore. The deal was signed by PFF President Mohsen Gilani and Beaconhouse CEO Kasim Kasuri. The partnership focuses on developing grassroots football in the country.

Pakistan Football Federation said the initiative will help integrate football into the education system. It also aims to create a long-term talent pipeline for national football development.

Focus on Grassroots Football Development

Under the agreement, PFF and Beaconhouse will work together to introduce structured football and futsal competitions in schools. These events will be organized across different age groups.

The partnership will also include training camps, boot camps, and skill development programs. Both boys and girls will have equal opportunities to participate in these activities.

The PFF will also lead certification programs for coaches, referees, and physical education teachers. These programs will focus on improving coaching standards and sports education.

In addition, selected Beaconhouse campuses will establish football academies. The PFF will provide technical support for training and infrastructure development.

Talent Identification and Player Development

The initiative will focus on identifying young talent through leagues, camps, and evaluation programs. Promising players will be recommended for advanced training pathways.

Scholarship opportunities may also be offered to outstanding young athletes. The goal is to support players from an early stage of development.

Pakistan Football Federation emphasized that the program will also promote values such as discipline, teamwork, and fair play. These qualities are considered essential for long-term player development.

Beaconhouse Role in Youth Football

Beaconhouse School System will play a major role in expanding access to football across its campuses. With a presence in multiple cities, it provides a large platform for youth engagement.

Beaconhouse CEO Kasim Kasuri said the institution is committed to supporting football development. He highlighted the importance of training coaches and students across all campuses.

He also expressed interest in the mental health and development aspect of sports. According to him, football can help build confidence, resilience, and teamwork in students.

PFF Aims to Strengthen National Football Structure

The PFF said the partnership marks an important step in building a stronger football ecosystem in Pakistan. It aims to connect schools with professional football development pathways.
