More than 7.5 million citizens have benefited from the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme since its launch on September 15, according to the Ministry of Information Technology.
The nationwide initiative has entered its third week, with millions of citizens using fuel tokens to access the relief provided under the scheme.
Over 8.4 Million Citizens Registered
According to the ministry’s latest figures, more than 8.4 million people have registered for the petrol relief programme so far.
The registration numbers indicate strong public participation as the government continues efforts to provide fuel-related assistance to eligible citizens across the country.
The scheme was launched on September 15 and has continued to expand during its first few weeks of operation.
More Than 12.2 Million Fuel Tokens Issued
The Ministry of IT reported that more than 12.2 million fuel tokens have been issued under the scheme.
Of these, over 10.3 million tokens have already been used by citizens at participating petrol pumps.
The ministry said the token utilisation rate currently stands at 84.4 per cent, indicating that a large majority of issued tokens have been redeemed.
The figures highlight the scale of the programme and the level of participation since its launch.
Relief Scheme Continues Nationwide
The Fuel Relief Scheme is currently being implemented across Pakistan, allowing registered citizens to use their fuel tokens as part of the government’s relief initiative.
Authorities are continuing to monitor the programme and provide assistance to citizens facing difficulties during registration, token issuance or redemption.
The scheme is also supported by a 24-hour call centre, which is available to provide immediate assistance and guidance.
The helpline is also intended to assist petrol pump owners dealing with issues related to the scheme.
Government Monitoring Fuel Token Usage
The latest figures provide an indication of how extensively the relief programme is being used across the country.
With more than 7.5 million citizens already benefiting and over 10.3 million fuel tokens redeemed, the government is continuing to monitor registration and usage figures as the scheme progresses.
The Ministry of IT is expected to release further updates as more citizens register and use their fuel tokens.
For citizens and petrol pump operators requiring assistance, the ministry’s 24-hour support service remains available throughout the implementation of the scheme.
