Pakistan IT Sector Exports Rise to $413 Million in March 2026

Pakistan’s IT Sector showed strong growth in March 2026, according to new economic data. Monthly IT exports reached 413 million dollars. This reflects continued expansion in digital services and foreign demand.

The figure shows a 21 percent increase compared to March last year. It also marks a 13 percent rise compared to February 2026. Analysts say the IT Sector is maintaining steady upward momentum despite global economic challenges.

According to Arif Habib Limited, technology exports made up 46 percent of Pakistan’s total services exports. This highlights the growing importance of the IT Sector in the national economy. The sector continues to be a key driver of foreign exchange earnings.

For the first nine months of the fiscal year 2026, IT exports reached 3.39 billion dollars. This represents a 20 percent increase on a year-on-year basis. The data shows consistent performance across multiple months.

Net IT exports, calculated after subtracting imports, stood at 360 million dollars in March. This is 16 percent higher than the same month last year. It shows improved efficiency in the IT Sector and stronger foreign revenue generation.

Experts note that Pakistan’s IT exports mainly include software development services. They also include freelancing income, business process outsourcing, and other digital services. These services are provided to international clients across different markets.

The government has set an export target of 5 billion dollars for FY26. This target reflects strong confidence in the IT Sector. However, Topline Research has estimated full-year exports at around 4.5 billion dollars.

Even this revised estimate would show significant growth. Last year’s total exports stood at 3.8 billion dollars. Analysts believe the IT Sector will continue expanding due to rising global demand for digital services.

Industry experts say skilled freelancers and software companies are playing a major role. They also highlight improved internet access and digital infrastructure as key growth factors. These developments are strengthening Pakistan’s position in the global tech market.
