As per an official document released on Sunday, the price of a 50kg urea bag has surged to Rs5,550, leading to a significant rise in fertilizer expenses.
Last week witnessed a Rs171 increase in the cost of a fifty-kilogram urea bag.
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, this week has seen the cost of urea bags rise by Rs1,000 in Rawalpindi, Rs651 in Hyderabad, Rs598 in Quetta, Rs154 in Larkana, and Rs100 in Multan.

He emphasized the need to guarantee its availability to farmers at government-controlled rates and demanded a report on the matter.
During the meeting, the prime minister urged district administrations to take immediate action against fertilizer hoarders, identify those responsible, and impose penalties as necessary.
