Pakistan defeats Turkmenistan in CAVA Nations Volleyball League Final

Pakistan emerged victorious over Turkmenistan in the final of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Nation’s Volleyball League held at the Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad today.

Securing a 3-1 win with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 20-25, and 25-14, Pakistan displayed strong offensive and defensive tactics, establishing early leads in the initial two sets.

Despite Turkmenistan’s resurgence in the third set, clinching it 25-20, Pakistan regained dominance in the fourth set, securing a decisive 25-14 victory to seal the match.

Earlier, Kyrgyzstan secured the third place by defeating Sri Lanka 3-1. Although Kyrgyzstan dominated the first two sets with scores of 25-20 and 25-17, Sri Lanka staged a comeback, winning the third set 20-25. However, Kyrgyzstan ultimately secured the fourth set with a narrow margin of 25-23.

Notably, Pakistan maintained an unbeaten record throughout the tournament, triumphing over every competing team.

Their journey included a 3-1 victory over Iran on May 16, with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, and 25-20, showcasing Pakistan’s consistent performance.

They advanced to the final on May 15 after defeating Kyrgyzstan 3-0 in their fourth match.

Their winning streak commenced with a 3-0 victory over Afghanistan in the opening match on May 11, followed by another 3-0 win against Sri Lanka on May 12. Their third match against Turkmenistan resulted in a 3-1 victory on May 13.
