Pakistan has strongly condemned the reported Israeli attack on Syria, describing the strike on the Abu al-Zahour airbase in Idlib as a violation of international law.
The Foreign Office said the attack by Israeli forces was condemnable and warned that what it described as provocative actions could further undermine peace and stability in the region.
Pakistan also expressed solidarity with the Syrian people and reaffirmed its support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
The statement comes amid continuing tensions in the Middle East, where military actions and cross-border strikes have raised concerns about the wider impact on regional security.
Pakistan Calls for International Action
The Foreign Office spokesperson urged the international community to take action against what Pakistan described as repeated violations of international law by Israel.
Islamabad also called for accountability, saying that continued military actions could contribute to instability and threaten efforts to maintain peace in the region.
Pakistan maintained that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states must be respected under international law and that military actions against sovereign countries should not be allowed to further destabilize the region.
Support for Syria’s Sovereignty
Pakistan reiterated its longstanding position in support of Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
The Foreign Office said Islamabad stands in solidarity with the Syrian people and remains committed to principles of international law and peaceful resolution of regional disputes.
Pakistan has consistently emphasized the importance of respecting the sovereignty of countries in the region and has opposed military actions that it believes could threaten regional peace and security.
