Pakistan Army Chief Invites Cricket Team For Iftar

General Asim Munir, Chief of the Army Staff, has extended an invitation to the national cricket team players for an Iftar dinner. The cricketers, currently undergoing training at Kakul Academy, are set to join the high-ranking general and other officials from the armed forces for the dinner on April 7.

Following the Iftar dinner in Rawalpindi, the team will disperse to their respective hometowns to celebrate Eid with their families. Prior to this, the players have been engaged in intensive physical training at Kakul Academy under the supervision of sports specialists, focusing on enhancing fitness levels, agility, leadership, and strategic thinking.

After the Eid festivities, the national squad will reconvene in Rawalpindi to prepare for the upcoming five-match Twenty20 Series against New Zealand. This invitation from the Army Chief not only provides a gesture of camaraderie between the armed forces and the cricket team but also serves as a morale booster for the players as they gear up for their upcoming fixtures.
