Aamer Jamal, the only pacer, served only as a fielder and batter while Noman and Sajid dominated England’s lineup with spin.
A similar scenario unfolded during the second Test in Multan, where Jamal bowled just 36 deliveries despite being Pakistan’s third-highest wicket-taker over the last year. Sajid and Noman continued to lead, having taken 22 and 20 wickets respectively in that time, reflecting the team’s reliance on spin.

Noman and Sajid bowled 89 consecutive overs across both Tests before Zahid Mahmood relieved them, a remarkable feat that added to their record-breaking performances. They are expected to continue their spin partnership in the upcoming Boxing Day Test during Pakistan’s South African tour.
Meanwhile, Aamer Jamal is set to join the team for the limited-overs series against Australia, where Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Mohammad Hasnain are likely to return. Although his playing time may be limited, Jamal has cemented his role within Pakistan’s national team.
