New York To Host Pak vs Ind T20 World Cup Clash

A stadium situated on the outskirts of New York is set to host a highly anticipated clash between arch-rivals Pakistan and India in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, marking a historic event, as reported on Friday. This match is anticipated to be the opening game of the group stage in the mega cricket tournament, co-hosted by the United States and the West Indies.
The tournament, featuring ten teams, will see the group stage matches taking place in the US, a country with sizable cricket-loving expatriate communities. While the final schedule from the International Cricket Council (ICC) is pending, confirmed reports state that England and Australia will exclusively play their group-stage matches in the Caribbean.

In the last two weeks, ICC officials have been visiting Caribbean venues, concluding their assessments in Guyana this week and suggesting improvements. The United States will utilize three venues – Central Broward Park in Florida, Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas, and Eisenhower Park on Long Island – for hosting matches.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to take place in the West Indies and the USA from June 4 to June 30, 2024. The choice of venues reflects the global appeal of cricket and aims to engage and entertain cricket enthusiasts in these regions during this prestigious tournament.
