Former cricketer Ramiz Raja is set to make a return to the commentary box for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.

The highly anticipated series, which holds significance as part of the ICC Test Championship cycle 2023-25, will commence on July 16 in Galle, followed by the second Test from July 24 to 28. Ramiz Raja, known for his extensive knowledge and captivating voice, took to Twitter to announce his comeback, expressing his excitement with the words, “Camera, Sound, and Action! Back in the commentary box for the Pak vs SL series.”

Cricket enthusiasts can look forward to his insightful commentary during this crucial season.

After assuming the position of Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja temporarily stepped away from his commentary duties.

In December of the previous year, he was succeeded by Najam Sethi, the former PCB Chairman, who took over as the interim head of the PCB management committee. Ramiz Raja, a member of the victorious 1992 World Cup-winning squad led by Imran Khan, played a significant role in securing the championship at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia.

Throughout his career, Ramiz represented Pakistan in 57 Test matches, accumulating 2,833 runs with an average of 31.8, and participated in 198 ODIs, scoring 5,841 runs with an average of 32.1.
