In a highly unusual medical case, a 31-year-old woman in Uttar Pradesh gave birth to four children over a period of five days. The rare incident took place in Ovari village located in the Sambhal district.
The woman, identified as Amina, successfully delivered two sons and two daughters through normal delivery procedures. According to hospital officials, she gave birth to her first baby on May 9, while the remaining three children were delivered on May 14.
Doctors described the pregnancy as extremely high-risk because carrying four babies can create serious complications for both the mother and children. Despite the medical challenges, all four babies were delivered naturally without the need for a cesarean section. Hospital staff said this was the first case of its kind in the hospital’s history.
Dr. Shubhra Agrawal, who led the medical team, confirmed that the newborns were placed on ventilator support immediately after birth as a safety measure. However, doctors later reported that all four babies are now stable and recovering well.
Hospital authorities also confirmed that Amina’s health condition is good after the difficult delivery process. Medical experts revealed that doctors had earlier advised the family about the risks involved in continuing such a complicated pregnancy and had suggested reducing the number of babies to avoid complications. However, the family decided to continue the pregnancy.
Amina thanked the doctors and hospital staff for their support and care throughout the treatment. Her husband, Mohammad Alam, also appreciated the efforts of the medical team and praised their professionalism in handling the rare case successfully over the past several months.
