Mohammad Amir Approved for Travel to Ireland Finally

Pacer Mohammad Amir has finally received his visa to travel to Dublin ahead of the three-match T20I series against Ireland starting tomorrow at Clontarf Cricket Stadium.

Amir will catch the earliest flight to Dublin for the T20 series following a delay in his visa, which initially impeded his departure with the Pakistan team two days ago.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi promptly intervened to ensure Amir’s clearance for travel to Ireland after his visa encountered delays, prolonging his stay in the country.

All players, including Amir, had their visa applications processed promptly after the Kakul training camp. However, concern arose at PCB headquarters when Amir’s visa faced significant delays.

Despite the delay, PCB maintained active communication with Ireland’s cricket board to resolve Amir’s visa situation promptly and enable his timely travel to Dublin.

Amir’s recent inclusion in the squad against New Zealand highlighted his crucial role in Pakistan’s bowling lineup, alongside formidable pacers like Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf.

Babar Azam’s team will contest three T20Is in Ireland, followed by four in England. Subsequently, Pakistan will head to the United States for the T20 World Cup.
