The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced a temporary suspension of electricity supply from two feeders in Lahore on Sunday, September 20, due to essential work linked to the Data Darbar and Kacheri Road projects.
According to the company, electricity supply from the Urdu Bazaar and Kacheri Road feeders connected to the Bhatti Gate Grid Station will remain suspended for six hours. The scheduled shutdown will begin at 8 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m.
LESCO said the temporary suspension is necessary to allow ongoing work related to the two projects to be completed safely and efficiently. Consumers connected to the affected feeders may experience an interruption in electricity supply during the scheduled period.
Residents and businesses in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements ahead of the shutdown. LESCO has also asked consumers to complete electricity-related tasks before the outage or arrange alternative power sources where required.
The scheduled shutdown is part of ongoing work being carried out in connection with development and improvement projects in the area. Such temporary interruptions are generally arranged to allow technical teams to carry out work on the electricity network while maintaining safety during the process.
Consumers relying on electricity for business operations, commercial activities or other essential needs have been advised to plan accordingly and complete important tasks before 8 a.m. on Sunday.
LESCO said electricity supply will be restored according to the normal schedule once the required work has been completed. The company did not indicate any permanent change to the supply arrangements for the two feeders.
The affected feeders are connected to the Bhatti Gate Grid Station and include the Urdu Bazaar and Kacheri Road feeders. Consumers served by these feeders should therefore remain prepared for the announced six-hour interruption.
The company has urged consumers to cooperate with the scheduled shutdown as work continues on the Data Darbar and Kacheri Road projects. The temporary suspension is expected to end at 2 p.m., subject to completion of the planned work.
