Operations at Allama Iqbal International Airport were disrupted after several flights were canceled and delayed. The situation affected both domestic routes and international flights, causing inconvenience to many passengers.
According to airport sources, at least seven flights were canceled. These included both local services and international flights operating between Lahore and other countries. Travelers faced long waiting times and uncertainty at the airport.
Flights operated by Airblue were among those canceled. Flight PA-410 from Lahore to Dubai and PA-411 from Dubai to Lahore did not operate. These cancellations affected passengers traveling on important international flights between Pakistan and the UAE.
Similarly, Flydubai flights FZ-359 and FZ-360 were also canceled. These routes connect Dubai and Lahore and are part of regular international flights used by travelers. The cancellations added to the disruption at the airport.
Sources also confirmed that Saudi Arabian Airlines flights SV-732 and SV-733 were canceled. These flights operate between Jeddah and Lahore. Many passengers rely on these international flights for travel related to work and religious visits.
In addition, Fly Jinnah flight 9P-842 from Karachi to Lahore could not operate. This added pressure on domestic travel schedules as well.
Several flights were delayed instead of being canceled. Flydubai flight 9P-500 to Sharjah was delayed by more than eight hours. Airblue flight PA-412 to Sharjah departed around one and a half hours late. Another flight, KE-582 to Bishkek, also faced a similar delay.
Airport authorities said the disruptions were caused by technical issues. They added that efforts are being made to manage the situation. Staff are assisting passengers and trying to reduce inconvenience.
