The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Elementary and Secondary Education Department has established what it describes as Pakistan’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Institute to promote modern technology in the province’s education sector.
The new institute will focus on introducing AI-based solutions and supporting the digital transformation of the education department. The initiative is aimed at improving existing systems and reducing reliance on traditional manual procedures.
A seven-member team has been formed to lead the development of technical frameworks and guidelines for the institute. The team will also review the department’s existing systems and identify areas where digital tools and automated processes can improve efficiency.
The institute will have a broader role in developing modern digital applications for the education sector. These applications are expected to help improve transparency, service delivery and the overall management of educational services across the province.
