Humidity in Karachi was recorded at 74 percent, adding to the discomfort for residents. Winds were blowing from the southwest at around 16 kilometres per hour.
The maximum temperature in Karachi is expected to remain between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius. Residents may continue to experience humid and uncomfortable conditions due to the combination of heat, cloud cover, and high humidity.
Meanwhile, Lahore has experienced heavy rainfall as the fifth monsoon spell entered the city. The rain inundated roads and low-lying areas in several parts of Lahore, creating difficulties for commuters and residents.
The Lahore region received an average of 11.8 millimetres of rainfall. The highest rainfall was recorded at Lahore Airport, where 75mm of rain was reported.
Manawan received 47.8mm of rain, while Tajpura recorded 29.2mm. Shahdipur also received significant rainfall, with 20mm recorded during the latest spell.
Intermittent rainfall has created problems for residents in several parts of Lahore. Some areas have reported water accumulation, while drainage operations had not started in certain locations at the time of the report.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority has warned that continued rainfall could increase the risk of urban flooding. Low-lying areas are particularly vulnerable to water accumulation if heavy rain persists.
Authorities have also warned about rising water levels in streams and nullahs. The situation could become more challenging if additional rainfall occurs during the ongoing monsoon spell.
Mountainous areas could also face the risk of landslides due to continued rainfall. Residents in vulnerable areas have been advised to remain cautious and follow official weather and safety updates.
