Karachi Kings Players Face Food Poisoning Before PSL9 Match

Today’s PSL 9 match between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators is in jeopardy as over a dozen players from Karachi Kings, including foreign cricketers, are grappling with food poisoning. The uncertainty looms large over the scheduled clash at the National Stadium Karachi at 7:00 pm.

The predicament arose after the players, including Shan Masood’s team, had dinner at a hotel the previous night. Disturbingly, 13 players have been affected by food poisoning, with reports indicating that one player has been hospitalized, and three others received IV treatment at the hotel.

In the preceding match, Islamabad United secured their second victory in the tournament, triumphing over Karachi Kings by seven wickets at the National Bank Stadium on Wednesday night. The player of the match, Colin Munro, played a crucial role in Islamabad’s successful chase of the 166-run target, marking the first game of the Karachi leg of PSL 9.

As Karachi Kings grapple with the unfortunate situation of players falling ill, the fate of the crucial encounter against Quetta Gladiators remains uncertain, casting a shadow over the PSL 9 fixture.
