Karachi’s upcoming IT Park is expected to create 15,000 jobs and boost Pakistan’s technology exports. Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal announced the expected benefits of the project.
The Karachi IT Park is being developed near Jinnah International Airport. The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) is responsible for the project.
The facility is part of the government’s E-Pakistan program. It is also linked to the broader Uraan Pakistan initiative.
According to the announced plans, the project could generate up to $100 million in annual ICT exports. The facility is intended to strengthen Karachi’s role in Pakistan’s technology sector.
The project will cover around 1.18 million square feet of space. It will include 220 modern offices for technology-related businesses.
The IT Park will also provide 30 spaces for startups. A Tier-III data center is planned as part of the facility.

The government aims to use the facility to support Pakistan’s growing digital economy. It also hopes to increase the country’s capacity for technology-based exports.
The Karachi IT Park has received funding under the 2026-27 Public Sector Development Program. The government has allocated Rs. 3.75 billion for the project.
Official budget documents show that Rs. 3.745 billion has been earmarked during the current fiscal year. The funding will support the ongoing development of the facility.
