Islamabad Shelter Collapse Raises Construction and Management Concerns

In a worrying development today, the shelter situated at the 132 kV Zeropoint Grid Station in Islamabad collapsed as a result of heavy rainfall. This incident has prompted questions regarding both the construction materials utilized and the responsiveness of the management to prior warnings.

The collapse, which took place during daylight hours, has generated apprehensions about the structural stability of the shelter, a pivotal element of the grid station’s infrastructure.

According to reports, the quality of materials employed in the shelter’s construction had been previously flagged as substandard. Repeated verbal concerns were expressed about the material quality; however, the management failed to take substantial actions to address these apprehensions.
