Islamabad Traffic Police has extended its free scooty training programme for women following an overwhelming response from applicants, providing another opportunity for those who could not secure a place in the first phase.
The initiative is aimed at helping women become more independent by improving their ability to ride scooties safely and travel conveniently across the city.
According to Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan, the programme has been divided into two phases to accommodate the growing number of women interested in receiving training.
Women who missed the opportunity during the first phase will now be able to participate in the second phase, scheduled to run from November 16 to November 30, 2026.
Second Phase Training Dates Announced
Islamabad Traffic Police has announced November 16 to 30 as the revised schedule for the second phase of its free scooty training programme.
The phase was initially scheduled to take place from November 1 to 15. However, following the strong response and increasing number of interested applicants, the authorities extended the arrangement to accommodate more participants.
The decision is expected to benefit women who were unable to secure a training slot earlier and were waiting for another opportunity to join the programme.
The initiative provides women with an opportunity to learn scooty riding without having to pay training fees.

It also supports broader efforts to encourage women’s participation in public life by reducing transportation-related difficulties.
