Imran Khan Believes in Judges, Especially the Chief Justice, says Gohar Khan

Leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar Khan, stated on Saturday that Imran Khan, the party’s founder and former prime minister, has total faith and confidence in the judiciary and judges, chief among them being Justice Qazi Faez Isa, according to news.

This was said by Barrister Gohar in an Islamabad media interview. On this occasion, in attendance were PTI Information Secretary Raoof Hasan, Intizar Hussain Panjutha, Sher Afzal Marwat, and senior PTI leaders Shoaib Shaheen.

Imran had expressed to the media on January 5 that Marwat did not trust Chief Justice Isa.

Gohar asserted, however, that there was no division among party leaders and that a false impression of Imran Khan’s views on the judiciary had been spread on social media.

Gohar stated that Imran “has complete confidence in judges, including Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa,” and that’s why he and Imran had a special meeting to settle the matter once and for all. Barrister Gohar further declared that any official statement from Imran Khan will be made by him in his capacity as “PTI chairman” and would be made available by the PTI Central Media Department.

Speaking about the Senate resolution asking for a postponement of the polls, the leader of the PTI said that the party vehemently opposed the undemocratic and unconstitutional resolution, which he claimed had no legal force or significance because it was based solely on the personal opinions of the senators.

Meanwhile, on Saturday night PTI Information Secretary Raoof Hasan posted on X (former Twitter) that: Barrister Gohar would in [the] future be communicating Imran Khan’s messages for the party and people of Pakistan and that nobody else is authorised to speak on Imran’s behalf.

Raoof Hasan’s post said that “… Barrister Gohar met [Imran Khan] in jail today who apprised him of these facts which were then made public in today’s press conference. In [the] future, Chairman-for-life Imran Khan’s messages for the party and people of Pakistan will be solely communicated through Barrister Gohar. Nobody else is authorised to speak on behalf of Chairman-for-life Imran Khan and the party shall not own any such statement if and when made. Additionally, strict disciplinary action will be initiated against those who will act in breach of this directive.”
