The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced nine contract-based vacancies under development projects funded through the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), offering monthly salaries ranging from Rs. 40,700 to Rs. 398,130.
The positions are open to eligible Pakistani nationals who meet the required academic qualifications, professional experience and quota conditions. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in Pakistan.

HEC Jobs 2026 Details
The newly announced vacancies cover positions from PPS-01 to PPS-09 and include senior management, legal, accounting, administrative and support roles.
The highest-paid position is Project Director under PPS-09, carrying a monthly salary of Rs. 398,130. At the other end, the Attendant position under PPS-01 offers Rs. 40,700 per month.
Applicants are required to pay a Rs. 1,000 processing fee while submitting their applications.
Available Positions and Salaries
HEC has announced the following positions:
- Project Director, PPS-09: 1 vacancy, Rs. 398,130 per month, merit quota, maximum age 62 years.
- Law Officer, PPS-08: 1 vacancy, Rs. 295,320 per month, Punjab quota, maximum age 50 years.
- Project Manager, PPS-08: 1 vacancy, Rs. 295,320 per month, merit quota, maximum age 50 years.
- Project Manager, PPS-07: 2 vacancies, Rs. 212,630 per month, one for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and one for Punjab, maximum age 40 years.
- Project Accountant, PPS-07: 1 vacancy, Rs. 212,630 per month, Sindh Urban quota, maximum age 40 years.
- Office Assistant, PPS-05: 2 vacancies, Rs. 94,500 per month, one each for Sindh Rural and Punjab, maximum age 40 years.
- Attendant, PPS-01: 1 vacancy, Rs. 40,700 per month, local basis, maximum age 35 years.
Project Director Position
The Project Director position is part of HEC’s project for awarding 3,000 Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarships to Afghan students under the Prime Minister’s directive.
Candidates must have a master’s degree involving 16 years of education or an equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized institution. A minimum second division is required.
Applicants must also have at least seven years of professional experience, including five years of managerial experience after obtaining their final degree.
Law Officer Vacancy
The Law Officer position is linked to the Overseas Scholarship for PhD in Selected Fields project, Phase III.
Applicants must hold an LLB or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized institution. They must also have five years of experience as a practicing lawyer in services or corporate law.
Good communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required.
Project Manager Positions
HEC has announced Project Manager positions under several development programmes.
The PPS-08 Project Manager position is part of the PhD Scholarship Program through the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor, Phase I. Candidates need a bachelor’s or master’s degree involving 16 years of education, along with at least five years of relevant experience, including three years in a managerial or supervisory role.
The two PPS-07 Project Manager positions are part of the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, Phase III. Applicants need 16 years of education and five years of relevant experience, including two years of middle-management experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project is required for these positions.
Project Accountant and Office Assistant Jobs
The Project Accountant position is part of the Faculty Development Program for Pakistani Universities.
Candidates must have an MBA in Finance, MCom or CMA involving 16 years of education. They also need three years of professional experience, including one year in middle management.
Two Office Assistant positions have also been announced under the Faculty Development Program and US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor PhD Scholarship Program.
Applicants for these posts must have graduation involving 14 years of education, two years of work experience and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Attendant Position
The Attendant vacancy is available under the US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor PhD Scholarship Program, Phase I.
Applicants must have passed Matric and possess at least one year of relevant experience. The maximum age limit for the position is 35 years.
Age Relaxation and Experience Requirements
The maximum age limits mentioned in the advertisement already include five years of general age relaxation.
Any additional age relaxation will be provided according to applicable government rules.
HEC will count professional experience obtained after the minimum required qualification. Part-time work, honorary service, apprenticeships and internships completed as part of academic studies will not be considered toward the required experience.
Government employees must apply through the proper channel.
Test and Selection Process
HEC will assess applications on the basis of information provided by candidates through their online profiles. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
Tests will be conducted at the nearest possible location. The listed test centres include Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar.
Candidates will not receive travel or daily allowances for appearing in tests or interviews.
HEC has also reserved the right to reject any or all applications and to increase or decrease the number of advertised vacancies.
