GTA VI Unveils First Trailer with New Protagonist Lucia and Next-Gen Upgrades

The highly anticipated video game of all time has unveiled its inaugural trailer, showcasing numerous novel elements and substantiating previous leaks. Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer has arrived, transporting players back to the iconic Vice City—a nostalgic callback to the title’s predecessor, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, over two decades ago.

The trailer introduces the franchise’s first official female protagonist, Lucia, whose presence aligns with prior leaked footage. While not the initial female main character, Lucia’s unveiling eclipses the largely overlooked female selectable option from the original Grand Theft Auto.

Without further ado, here’s the trailer:

Although we’ve explored Vice City in the past, this rendition represents a next-generation remake, featuring substantial advancements in graphics and features. Notably, Lucia’s partner, prominently featured in the cover image and trailer, appears poised to become a playable character.

Social media integration emerges as a pivotal aspect of gameplay, with numerous Instagram Reels-like videos showcased throughout the trailer. True to Grand Theft Auto’s essence, the narrative promises heists and criminal exploits, with Lucia and her yet-to-be-named partner taking center stage in these endeavors.

While Rockstar has not disclosed the release date for the second trailer, GTA VI is slated for a 2025 launch, with widespread speculation suggesting a console release preceding the PC version, following the series’ established pattern.
