Government Opts To Maintain Petrol Prices For New Year

The interim federal government has opted to maintain the current prices of petroleum products for the initial half of January 2024. Consequently, there is no adjustment in the price of petrol, which remains steady at Rs. 267.34 per liter. Likewise, the price of high-speed diesel will persist at Rs. 276.21 per liter for the first half of January.

In the recent bi-weekly evaluation of petroleum prices, the government had reduced the price of petrol by Rs. 14 per liter, and the price of high-speed diesel witnessed a reduction of Rs. 13.50 per liter. However, for the upcoming period, there will be no alteration in the prices, and they will stay constant during the initial half of January.
