Gold prices continued their upward trend in Pakistan on Wednesday, extending gains for the fourth consecutive day as both local and international markets recorded another sharp increase.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs. 4,600, taking it to Rs. 433,836.
The price of 10 grams of gold also witnessed a significant increase, rising by Rs. 3,944 to settle at Rs. 371,944.
The latest increase follows Tuesday’s rally, when gold prices climbed by Rs. 4,700 per tola to close at Rs. 429,236, reflecting continued strength in the precious metals market.
Internationally, gold prices also moved higher, gaining $46 to settle at $4,114 per ounce, providing further support to domestic rates.
Market experts attribute the ongoing rally to sustained global demand for safe-haven assets amid economic uncertainty and fluctuations in international financial markets.
Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded an increase in the local market. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs. 7, reaching Rs. 6,403.
Bullion traders said local gold prices continue to closely track international market movements and currency fluctuations, with further changes expected depending on global economic developments in the coming days.
