According to a press release, The Legend of Maula Jatt, the highest-grossing Punjabi film of all time, is still causing a sensation in the film industry. The film has enthralled people worldwide, earning Rs2.93 billion worldwide and still running well in theatres. The film created history by becoming the first Pakistani film to break the 100 crore milestone in the country’s 75-year film industry history.

One of the 80 gandasa props used in the film was recently auctioned off for $50,000 at an event in Toronto, Canada.

With 7000 individuals in attendance, the initial bid began at $5000. The revenues from this charity will be donated entirely to the Sahara Life Trust. It’s worth noting that the genuine gandasa weapon used by the film’s hero, Fawad Khan, will soon be on exhibit in Lahore for a walk-through Maula Jatt experience.

The Tale of Maula Jatt has emerged as one of the top three films from the subcontinent with the greatest screen average in numerous abroad markets between 2018 and 2023. The film was directed by Bilal Lashari and produced by Ammara Hikmat and Bilal Lashari’s joint venture, Encylomedia – Lashari JV. It was released and distributed in Pakistan by Mandviwala Entertainment.

Along with the unprecedented box office collections, the film received extremely positive reviews and critical acclaim, with praise for the stellar performances of its leading cast members, which included Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humaima Malik, Gohar Rasheed, Faris Shafi, and Ali Azmat.
