The newly formed interim Management Committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly offered former cricketer Mohammad Hafeez the position of chief selector for the national team. The Chairman of the PCB, Zaka Ashraf, held a meeting with Hafeez to discuss the offer.

However, Hafeez has not yet accepted the offer and has requested time to consider it due to his existing commitments.

During the meeting, Hafeez congratulated Ashraf on his appointment as the head of the PCB and expressed his admiration for him as an administrator.

Hafeez stated that he would consider a favorable offer to serve Pakistan cricket.

It has been reported that the current chief selector, Haroon Rashid, is expected to be relieved of his responsibilities in the near future after the appointment of the new management.

There are also rumors that other former cricketers, including Younis Khan, Mohsin Khan, Saleem Yousuf, and Shoaib Akhtar, may be offered various positions within the PCB.

The federal government recently appointed Zaka Ashraf as the chairman of the newly formed management committee, granting the committee a four-month term to oversee the affairs of the PCB.
