According to a UN report from the previous year, there are approximately 22 million unmarried individuals, both men and women, awaiting marriage in Pakistan. The report highlights a prevalent practice of arranging marriages within families due to the limited availability of compatible matches for both genders.

With the diminishing pool of eligible relatives for marriage, parents are increasingly considering alliances outside their familial tribes. However, the reluctance to arrange marriages with individuals from different tribes is growing, primarily due to the challenge of finding suitable and respectable matches beyond their immediate social circles.
