Chinese company wants to open a facility in Punjab

The Chinese businesspeople, led by TIANS Group President Zhang Zhang, expressed a desire to establish a manufacturing facility in Pakistan during a meeting with Punjab Caretaker Commerce Minister S.M. Tanveer. Mr. Tanveer stated that the administration would work with Chinese investors to entice them into the Special Economic Zones being established throughout the province.

He continued by saying that the group may potentially form a joint venture with Pakistani businesses, for which the government would make the appropriate arrangements. The minister continued, “Punjab also offers a number of investment prospects in the manufacture of electric vehicles.

Jalal Hasan Khan, the chief executive of the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, provided a thorough explanation of the province’s investment potential for Chinese businesses. According to him, 13 Special Economic Zones have been created, while another six are in the planning stages.
