China Offers Fully Funded Scholarships for Pakistani Students in Top Universities

A new round of fully funded Scholarships has been announced for Pakistani students who want to study in China. These opportunities are part of ongoing education cooperation between Pakistan and China. The program aims to support higher education and strengthen academic ties between the two countries.

The Scholarships are offered under the Chinese Government Scholarship program for the 2026–27 academic year. The initiative is managed in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission Pakistan. A large number of seats are expected for undergraduate, master’s, and PhD programs at leading Chinese universities.

These Scholarships provide full financial support to selected students. The coverage includes tuition fees, free accommodation, and a monthly stipend. Students also receive medical insurance during their studies. The monthly stipend usually ranges from 2,500 to 3,500 Chinese Yuan, depending on the degree level. However, travel expenses are generally not included in the package.

Students can apply for different academic levels. Undergraduate programs usually last four to five years. Master’s degrees take two to three years, while PhD programs require three to four years. Some students may need to complete a one-year Chinese language course before starting their degree. This depends on the program and language requirements.

To qualify for these Scholarships, applicants must meet certain conditions. They must be citizens of Pakistan or Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Candidates should be medically fit and meet academic requirements. Age limits also apply. Undergraduate applicants must be under 25 years old. Master’s applicants should be under 35, while PhD candidates must be under 40. Some universities may require additional tests or academic assessments.

The application process is completed in two steps. First, students apply through HEC Pakistan for nomination. After selection, they must submit an online application through the Chinese scholarship portal. Required documents include academic records, recommendation letters, a study plan, a passport copy, and a medical certificate.

Apart from government programs, several top institutions such as Peking University and Tsinghua University also offer fully funded opportunities. These programs focus on research, leadership, and global studies.

China is becoming a popular destination for Pakistani students. It offers quality education, modern facilities, and internationally recognized degrees. The availability of fully funded Scholarships makes it more accessible for students. Strong relations between both countries also support this trend.
