Bushra Bibi Confronts Arrest In Corruption Allegations

Local media reports suggest that the anti-corruption agency is examining evidence against the PTI chairman. Bushra Bibi’s status may shift from a witness to an accused.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) office in Rawalpindi has summoned Bushra Bibi and her close friend Farhat Shehzadi on November 13 in connection to the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case.

Initially, Bushra Bibi was called to appear before the NAB, but she opted not to attend. Instead, her counsel submitted a written request, seeking a new date for her appearance in the following week.

Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and other members are alleged to have amassed billions and extensive land during the previous PTI government.

Top anti-corruption officials in the country implicated the PTI chief in a case that led to nationwide protests by supporters, resulting in the vandalism of civil-military installations.
