Babar Azam should step down as Pakistan’s captain, according to Rashid Latif.

Due to pressure from outside sources, Rashid Latif has recommended that Babar Azam, the captain of all formats, give up his position.

Rashid Latif said in a video posted to his YouTube channel that his captaincy has been the subject of extensive media coverage despite his good performance.

Babar should step down from the leadership position, the wicket-keeper continued, because it will negatively affect his own performance even though the PCB has continued to have faith in him.

Babar will remain the captain. Rashid Latif continued, “However, if someone attempts to influence him from outside, my recommendation to Babar Azam is to step down [from captaincy].

After the current white-ball series, PCB Chairman Najam Sethi stated last month that the fate of the national team captain would be decided by the newly appointed coaching staff.

Mickey Arthur, on the other hand, endorsed Babar Azam, saying that the right-handed batsman is an excellent cricketer and will captain the team in the 2023 World Cup.
