Australia Claims Top Spot in ICC WTC Standings After Whitewashing Pakistan

The recent three-match Test series between Pakistan and Australia concluded with Australia achieving a clean sweep, securing a 3-0 victory over Pakistan.

This triumph catapults Australia to the summit of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-2025 standings in the most recent update, surpassing India’s previous top position.

Under the captaincy of Pat Cummins, the current holder of the ICC Test Championship 2021-23, Australia asserted dominance in the series against Pakistan. Their outstanding performance, boasting the highest percentage of 56.25, elevates them to the top of the points table.

Prior to the series against Australia, Pakistan, having won two Test matches, including a series against Sri Lanka in 2023, occupied the top position in the World Test Championship table. However, their current sixth-place standing reflects a series of five matches, resulting in two victories and three losses, with their total points standing at 36.66.

Sri Lanka, yet to secure a win, holds the bottom spot, followed by England in eighth place.
