Ajay Devgn is set to return as Vijay Salgaonkar for the third and final chapter of the Hindi Drishyam franchise, officially titled Drishyam: The Conclusion. The highly anticipated crime thriller is scheduled to hit cinemas on October 2, 2026.
Devgn announced the title and release date by sharing the film’s first poster, giving fans their first official look at the conclusion of Vijay Salgaonkar’s long-running story.
The poster carries the line, “Mera Sach, Mera Sahi, Sirf Meri Family Hai,” reinforcing the central theme of Vijay’s character — his family remains his ultimate priority.
Vijay Salgaonkar Returns
The upcoming film will continue the story of Vijay Salgaonkar, the ordinary family man whose extraordinary efforts to protect his loved ones turned him into one of Bollywood’s most memorable crime-thriller characters.
The first-look material suggests that Vijay remains committed to his own version of truth and justice. In the earlier teaser, he reflected on the many labels people have given him over the years, including criminal, murderer, mastermind, hero and innocent.
Vijay’s message remains simple: everyone has their own understanding of truth and what is right, but for him, protecting his family comes above everything else.
Original Cast Returns
Abhishek Pathak is returning as director for the third instalment. He has also co-written the screenplay with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh.
Ajay Devgn will reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar, while Tabu returns as IG Meera Deshmukh. Shriya Saran will once again play Nandini Salgaonkar, with Rajat Kapoor also returning to the franchise.
Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat have joined the cast in new roles, adding further intrigue to the final chapter.
Filming has already been completed, with the movie currently in post-production ahead of its October release.

The Hindi Drishyam franchise follows Vijay Salgaonkar, a seemingly ordinary man living with his family in Goa.
After a deadly incident puts his family at risk, Vijay uses his intelligence, planning and knowledge of films and storytelling to construct an elaborate chain of events designed to protect his loved ones.
The first film established Vijay as a clever family man willing to go to extraordinary lengths for his family. The 2022 sequel expanded the story and left audiences wondering whether the authorities could finally uncover the truth behind the case.
The third film is expected to bring that complicated battle between Vijay and the authorities to its conclusion.
Franchise Has Enjoyed Major Success
The first Hindi Drishyam was a commercial success, earning around Rs110 crore worldwide.
The 2022 sequel performed even better, collecting approximately Rs342 crore worldwide and significantly expanding the franchise’s popularity.
The success of Drishyam 2 created strong expectations for another instalment, with fans eager to discover whether Vijay will once again manage to stay ahead of the law.
Malayalam Franchise Takes a Different Path
While the Hindi version is preparing to conclude, the original Malayalam Drishyam franchise has continued separately.
Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph released Drishyam 3 in May 2026. The film reportedly became the biggest entry in the Malayalam series, crossing Rs242 crore worldwide.
The Malayalam franchise is also expected to continue, with producer Antony Perumbavoor confirming that a fourth instalment is in development.
Tabu Returns as Meera Deshmukh
Tabu’s return as IG Meera Deshmukh adds another major layer of anticipation to the final Hindi film.
Director Abhishek Pathak previously hinted that Meera’s story may not have ended despite the events of the previous film. His comments suggested that audiences could discover new developments when the story resumes.
With Vijay and Meera once again on opposite sides of the mystery, the final chapter could bring the franchise’s biggest confrontation yet.
