Abrar Ahmed Ruled Out of New Zealand Series Due To Injury
Spinner Abrar Ahmed has been excluded from the Pakistan squad for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand due to fitness issues. He is set to return to Pakistan for rehabilitation, which will be conducted at the National Cricket Academy.
In his absence, left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz, who was previously released from the Test squad, will join other bowlers, including Zaman Khan, Haris Rauf, and Usama Mir, for training ahead of the upcoming T20I series.
All four players, including Nawaz, are scheduled to depart from Australia for Auckland on January 5. They will be later joined by the remaining players selected for the T20 squad. The inaugural T20I match between Pakistan and New Zealand is scheduled for January 12 in Auckland.
