Abdul Hannan, Annural Khalid’s ‘Kehdena’ is fuelling with passion

Share

Annural Khalid and Abdul Hannan, singers and songwriters, have released a love ballad that is sure to tug at your emotions. The song Kehdena is about declaring love without using words. It incorporates the good ol’ guitar sound that seems lost on today’s bedroom pop musicians as it takes a deep dive into the myriad expressions or glances of love.

The song, which contains many soul blues characteristics, takes a slight deviation from everyday pop music and sprinkles some confetti over the market’s standardised potion of electronic music. To say the least, it’s a relief in terms of melody and execution. Kehdena, produced by ChillBazaar and written by Khalid and Hannan, features memorable harmonies and appealing lyrics.

Until recently, Hannan’s voice appeared tailor-made for lo-fi, melancholy melodies. However, in Kehdena, the singer appears to be all too familiar with his own skills and flaws, as he employs this knowledge to the best of his abilities. The sensations of love and romance he expresses without straining his voice and singing in the key he is most comfortable with can astound the listener.

Khalid, on the other hand, strikes all the right notes with her ability to manipulate her voice while maintaining a steady pace. However, the song is not demanding in that sense. It’s straightforward, with straightforward lyrics and a basic structure that’s driven by passion and emotion – especially when the guitar solo comes in.

The track’s music video accentuates the song’s plea for romance. It’s candle-lit and nicely done. Because the song is brief, the video captures just enough of Khalid and Hannan. In fact, Kehdena has exactly the proper amount of everything, making it ideal for a long or short drive.
