Authorities have filed a case against three individuals following the alleged gang-rape of a 15-year-old girl in the Budh Bair region of Peshawar, officials reported.
Police report that the case has been registered under applicable sections of child protection and rape laws, and actions are being taken to apprehend the identified suspects.
The FIR was filed based on the complaint from the victim’s father, a Shahab Khel resident, who informed the police that his daughter, a student at a seminary, was en route to her classes when a suspect named Atif reportedly convinced her to go to his house under the guise of assisting with clothing transport.
The complainant claimed that upon arriving at the house, Atif and two other men, named in the FIR as Ahmad and Iqdari alias Sharifay, gang-raped the girl.
The complaint also claimed that the suspects filmed the incident and utilized it to extort the victim.
Authorities confirmed that an official inquiry has been initiated regarding the incident.
