The Meteorological Department has forecasted rainfall in select areas of Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab today. Residents in Islamabad can expect hot weather during the day, with rain predicted in a few places by the evening.

Meanwhile, other parts of the country will continue to experience hot and dry conditions. The maximum temperature is likely to reach an intense 49 degrees Celsius in Sibbi and 48 degrees in Turbat. Islamabad is expected to record a high of 43 degrees, Lahore 44 degrees, and Karachi 35 degrees, according to the department’s spokesperson. Rain is also expected in lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Balochistan, and central/south Punjab in the evening, providing some relief to these regions.

In Lahore, the weather has turned pleasant due to the blowing of dusty winds, significantly lowering the temperature. According to the Meteorological Department, intermittent rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in various parts of the city today. The temperature in Lahore is expected to range between a minimum of 28 degrees and a maximum of 38 degrees.

Residents of Lahore can look forward to cooler conditions and possible thunderstorms, making the weather more bearable amidst the typically high summer temperatures. The strong winds and potential rain will provide much-needed respite from the heat.
