Kiswa Of The Holy Kaaba Is Raised, Indicating The Start Of Hajj 2024

Ahead of the commencement of Hajj 2024, authorities in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, raised the Kiswa (Ghilaf-e-Kaaba). The Kiswa, the fabric covering the Holy Kaaba, was elevated by three meters, with the lower portion adorned with a white cotton cloth (Ihram) measuring two meters wide on all four sides.

This annual practice aims to safeguard the Kaaba from damage before the Hajj pilgrimage. The ceremony was overseen by a team of specialists from the King Abdul Aziz Complex, responsible for the maintenance of the Kaaba.
