This price adjustment comes in response to demands from dairy farmers for an increase in dairy product prices, despite a recent decrease in petroleum product prices. The agreement between the Commissioner and the dairy farmers includes several key stipulations to ensure compliance and maintain milk quality standards.

Under the agreement, dairy farmers have committed to selling milk at the newly established official prices, with strict actions to be taken against those who do not adhere to this price structure. Additionally, the agreement stipulates that milk sellers cannot request any further price increases until December 31, 2024.

The agreement also requires dairy farmers to prominently display purchase and sale rates and to maintain the quality of milk from farms to retailers.
