Oppo Reno 8 and 8 Pro launch globally.
Oppo Reno 8 and 8 Pro are currently available in all international countries, one month after its Chinese market launch. As usual, the global versions are different from the Chinese versions. The Chinese Reno 8 Pro+ is the equivalent of the Reno 8 Pro, whilst Reno 8 Vanilla is an improvement of the Chinese variant.
Compared to Reno 8, which has a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with 1080p resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, Reno 8 Pro has a slightly larger 6.7-inch screen. It has a 1080p AMOLED screen with HDR10+, improved peak brightness, and support for 1 billion colours, but it also has a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Reno 8 only has a Dimensity 1300 SoC, whilst the Reno 8 Pro has a Dimensity 8100 Max SoC, despite the fact that both smartphones feature top-tier chipsets. All phones feature storage options of 128GB or 256GB and 8–12GB RAM, but there is no SD card connector.
Each phone’s camera setup has a 50MP 1/1.56″ Sony IMX766 primary sensor, an 8MP IMX355 ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. Oppo handles image processing with its own MariSilicon X chip. Similar battery features include a 4500mAh battery with an 80W fast charger and reverse charging. Oppo Reno 8 starts at $375 on the international market, while Reno 8 Pro will cost $575, which translates to around Rs 82,999 and 125,999 respectively.
