Shadab Khan becomes Pakistan’s first bowler to take 100 wickets in T20Is.

Shadab Khan, a well-known Pakistani all-rounder, reached yet another T20I milestone in the final game of the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan in Sharjah.

In the previous match, the stand-in skipper bowled well, taking three wickets and conceding only 13 runs in four overs, leading his team to a 66-run victory.

The leg-break spinner became the first Pakistani and sixth overall to take 100 wickets in the game’s shortest format with this match-winning performance. Nida Dar has achieved the same feat for Pakistan in the women’s game and is the only Pakistani on the list of top wicket-takers.

The 24-year-old all-rounder surpassed former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi on the list of leading wicket-takers in the format, finishing with 98 wickets in 97 innings.

Shadab Khan was named player of the match in the series finale for his all-round performance, taking three wickets and scoring 28 runs off 17 balls.

It is worth noting that Shadab was captaining the Men in Green for the first time as a stand-in captain in the absence of the series’ all-format captain, Babar Azam.
